Kandooma Resort Review

As many of you are already aware (thanks to my FB updates and Trip Advisor review) I traveled to Maldives from 16th till 21st Aug’13. Below is the review that I shared on Trip Advisor which was later shared by GypsyFly Blog. :D
Instant Love Bite : Welcome drinks {fresh fruit juice or citrus mocktails} served on our arrival to every resort we visited. Welcome drinks are a perfect concoction to lift up and energize your spirits and get you in some serious beachy action.
Kandooma Resort, Maldives - Review
Kandooma Resort
Kandooma Resort
We were at Kandooma, Maldives last month. It’s a beautiful property laid out on white sands of Maldives. Various size pools layered and placed right next to one another offer an ideal pool time for entire family. Kadooma has number of beautiful restaurants, we tried various options but food was a bit expensive and also wasn’t very good when compared with food at resorts like Anantara, Maldives.

Further they didn’t have the right bartender, cocktails were bad and we had to send our cosmos, margaritas and mojitos back. Service, however was flawless and not even an eyebrow was raised at our complaints. We stuck with beer, which wasn’t too bad of an option both in terms of cost and taste.

Kandooma has good watersports facilities and kayaking was the highlight for us along with spa. It has probably one of the best spa options in Maldives. Situated amidst coconut and palm trees, it was absolutely beautiful. Lovely staff, great facilities, beautiful Jacuzzi and a great masseuse made our trip worth every minute spent there.

This resort looks particularly beautiful during the evening time when various sections light up. On one side there is a bean bags open lounge area that is lit with tea lights, on the other end there are restaurants like The Kitchen located right at the shore. Our overall experience with the resort was very warm and welcoming.
{Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of the restaurants as we were busy indulging in the yummies. However, I will leave you with this gorgeous sunset}. Hope you enjoy it.
